Mask Policy and Screw You Letter

It's official: No more punishment or harassment from the managers for not wearing—or improperly wearing—a mask. As long as you are "fully vaccinated," that is. So if a manager has the spare time to scrutinize your information—and you are still working without proof of vaccination—be aware that they can punish you.

Whether you are pro-vaccine or not, the raw madness of this whole mask and vaccination policy is that it is enforced through punishment. Those who vaccinate and wear masks should be rewarded for it. Those who do not, will not be rewarded. Remove the hazard. Don't punish the worker for the hazard.

Will we have our break room chairs returned? 

Will those who were punished about the mask be made whole?

The next day, the CTA second-in-command sent this letter to employees. He calls it a "thank you" but it looks more like a "screw you" to me.

He thanks us for doing an "impossible" task during the Pandemic, but lectures us about not "relaxing" when it comes to doing our job.

How insulting!

I wonder if Boss Bonds wrote this condescending letter from the comfort of his fancy house? Or was it from his cushy, socially-distanced and hermetically-sealed CTA office? 

Did he share his comment about relaxation with his boss, President Dorval 33% Carter? 

I doubt it.

He should volunteer for human target and punching bag as a Red South Customer Assistant with defective two-way radios. 

Or an Operator of a CTA bus/train for 8+ hours of trips for a whole Pick (assuming his puppet Boss Hill doesn't cancel the Pick). 

Or as a Rail Car Servicer and sweep 8-car trains Howard on midnights in below-zero temperatures. The next day he should definitely should volunteer to sweep, mop and pull garbage at three Blue Line stations—starting at Pulaski.

Then do a few weeks as a Repairer and replace some wheel assemblies using defective back-wrenching turntables and spend 20 minutes digging around in grease and excrement to find a rusty part because they are no longer kept in stock.

Maybe then, Boss Bonds can write letters to us about relaxation. 

Meanwhile, take this letter and SHOVE IT!!!
