Local 308 Rail Janitors Class Action "Stickers" Grievance

Dear Janitors: If the manager or coordinator assigned you work to remove those social distancing stickers at stations, you are doing the work of another union worker (Local 8A-28A, International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades).

That is a no-no and you should be compensated for this sloppy wage theft maneuver against our painter brothers and sisters by the CTA Rail Station managers. So grieve that mess right away!

Be sure to include the approximate dates, times and quantity of stickers. Use phrases like "on or around" and "about." You don't need to get it perfect. Just get it close and be accurate. Read the class action grievance below to get the whole story.

If you see me or any other union officer or steward, ask us for a grievance form. Or you can download and print the form here: https://www.scribd.com/document/570305266/Local-308-Grievance-Form

Special thanks to Local 308 vice presidents Brother Mark and Sister Pennie for sharing this information with me. Also, special thanks to Brother Frank Robinson for pushing me in the direction to get these facts for you.

Here is the class action grievance Brother Mark and Sister Pennie submitted on your behalf.
