How Picks Should Run at the CTA
ATU Local 308 and 241 Executive Board members should be sharing all Pick information from Pick meetings with members. They should be messengers of the members at Pick meetings. Not water carriers for the cheapskate CTA mismanagement.
Then they should survey the members for feedback and organize meetings with the members.
Pick sheets and seniority lists should be posted online for all members to access easily (I post Pick and Seniority lists online all the time). The Chicago Transit Justice Coalition published partial bus operator pick lists online.
After the Pick, they should survey the members for feedback about how it was run and what can be done better next time.
All survey results should be shared with the members (as shown in this real-life example survey). I am just a lowly volunteer steward and have had great results using some of these techniques.
