We Will Be The Winners

Make the Boss Afraid
CTA mismanagers like when we go about work with the attitude of "every man for himself." They do not like when we organize against them as a group.

CTA mismanagement shakes in their fancy shoes when I show up at the Shop or Terminal because they know which picture is going to eventually manifest.

When the members decide to impeach Pennie and Mark—or we survive to the next election—I intend on earning the spot of Local 308 president (I think I already have, frankly).

When it happens, all out war against CTA workers will be unleashed. They know my ability to inspire others is unstoppable. But you all will be ready.
A woman the slavemasters couldn't control

Not giving in to tyranny is literally in my genes. While enslaved in Chowan County, NC, my ancestor, Annis Elliot Welch, beat up a cruel overseer. The legend goes that after he tried to whip her, she grabbed his whip and pulled him off his horse!

Yes, she survived—and lived a long life.

Many of us have ancestors like my great-great grandmother. You just need to find them. If you cannot, then find others who fought back like Nat Turner, Pancho Villa, Martin Luther King Jr. and the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. We are all related.

That is why CTA mismanagement orders Mark and Pennie to keep me off union payroll. If I actually was given the time I am supposed to get, the mismanagers would be held accountable for their acts of terror against us. This is also why they hit me with TWO safety violations for emailing one of their outlaw mismanagers while on lunch.

Between Pennie, Mark, Overstreet and CTA mismanagement, they are always angling to punish me and those who associate with me.

But I serve a Powerful God Who hates slavery and oppression. The more they try to silence me, the more that fear among coworkers gets replaced with anger.

We will be the winners.
