Both parents have privileges. While you are on leave, I highly recommend you also obtain intermittent FMLA approval too. Contact Sedgwick to get the right paperwork for the newborn Leave AND Intermittent Leave.
In addition to that paperwork, I highly recommend a Report to Manager be submitted. Keep a trusted union representative in the loop about what you are doing. In most cases, the management does not give us a hard time. However, there are times they will drop the ball.
Obviously, this is not enough time off. We need at least double the amount.
