Class Action Grievance: PIU Lens Repair

We should be paid alot more to open up these boxes and make repairs
For about a year, the CTA has been assigning repair tasks to Rail Car Repairers that were always done by CTA workers in other unions.

Specifically, we are replacing broken lenses on the inside of the Passenger Information Unit boxes (PIU).

This is bad on two levels:

1. The CTA is getting away with paying less than we are supposed to get for the repair.

2. The CTA is turning different union members against each other. Scabbing. This is against the Obligation in our union Constitution

So I collected surveys from workers that were assigned the jobs over the year. On November 1, 2024, I submitted a grievance for the good of our craft. I wrote it in a way to make CTA mismanagement dig up all the violations so everyone who did the job will get paid.
