Why Do Union Presidents Fear Me?

Our Party-Hardy President and The Shadow want me to stop trying to help CTA workers because when I call their manager friends about deadly working conditions, they don't like that I hold their manager friends accountable for our safety.

These two gray-haired toddlers whine that I don't have the right "approach" and don't know the "right people" to call. I am an "attention-seeking clown" they say.

I may be a clown, but at least I ain't a boss-loving, bootlicking labor-faking traitor! At least I don't feed members and officers who dislike me to the mismanagers!

When my coworkers are dehumanized, hurt and dying, the only "approach" they need is direct and the "right people" are the ones who give me the information I request—as per labor law.

I boldly confront mismanagers with a gentle breeze of facts and scorch their rotten souls with a blazing inferno when they return my gentleness with arrogance. Loud protests and pounds of paperwork await the most obstinate, vindictive ones.

I am elected to represent CTA workers. They want me to fight CTA mismanagement—and inspire them to do it too.

The CTA mismanagement are used to union reps who dress like managers, talk like managers, bow at their feet, kiss their axx and beg like starving dogs.

I am not the one. But I get things done—like it's supposed to be in a real union. I dress like the workers and think like the ancestors who rose up against the slave ship captains, plantation owners and railroad tycoons.

I inspire the workers and show them that the CTA mismanagers are nothing to fear. I show them that the mismanagers actually fear us.

Soon, the CTA workers will begin to realize their own collective power. The mismanagers will either submit to the Truth or we will run them out of the city.

We are going to take control of our union, take back what was stolen from us and make public transportation in Chicago better and bigger than ever.
