Huge Loss: Great Opportunity

We just ratified a new Contract…With no paid sick leave.

My coworkers who voted for it were frightened into doing it by fellow union officials who are too lazy to organize a fight like a real union.

The loss should be inspiration to keep fighting
Despite there being a state law for it, CTA workers will continue to be punished with suspensions and terminations for staying home sick.

I will continue to battle with CTA mismanagement in punishment meetings for my poor coworkers as they get away with ignoring the law.

To avoid loss of pay and merciless punishment, we will spread norovirus, flu, Coronavirus and any other infectious diseases to each other, the riders, communities and our families.

Today was a depressing day: A tragic continuation of blatant human rights violations. It made me ashamed of being an ATU Local 308 elected leader.

Despite the calls of our union president and her loyalists for me to resign, I will not comply.

No, I will not quit. I will fight! I will continue to inspire my coworkers to fight. I will stand up for those who fear our open enemies, even if I must stand alone.

God-willing, we will win Paid Sick Leave—and more. See the flier on the Upcoming Actions button at the CTJC website for an in-person organizing meeting on Feb. 1st.

I sincerely pray—that when it is time for their souls to be judged by the Creator—that He will be as merciful to them as they are to us.
