Withdraw Nothing!

This form should be used by union officials only

The phone calls I get from members about CTA mismanagers' slick shxt never ceases to astonish me.

They really treat us like we are STUPID. The mismanagers are giving us these "grievance withdrawal" forms because they don't want heat for violating us.

Well, these dipshxts just stepped in dog doo-doo and are walking it all over the carpet by trying to settle grievances with members one-on-one.

That is a clear VIOLATION of Article 16 in our Collective Bargaining Agreement! The mismanager cannot do anything or say anything to you once that grievance is filed! Moreover, if they threaten you, that is violation of Articles 2.1 in the Contract and labor law! Contact me, another trusted union steward or officer immediately if a mismanager threatens or retaliates against you for submitting a grievance.

Who is the union traitor that even thought to give CTA mismanagement that form? If you know, tell me. We need to have that so-and-so charged and bounced out of office faster than you can say Out of Order and Run 'em Over.

Article 16 is clear as daylight: ANY discussions between a manager and an ATU member about a dispute can only be done PRIOR to paperwork (grievance) being submitted.

The first paragraph tells us that managers can only deal with the union after a grievance is filed
Of course, this is best done with the assistance of a trusted steward or officer.

Shop workers: Don't sign a damn thing from the CTA mismanagers! I don't care how cool they seem. Call me first!

If they pressure you, tell them "Eric Basir said go to hell!"
