Avoid The Rip-Off Insurance Scams

Don't even read that crap! Just keep walking.
BBS Solutions and all those “insurance” offers from people that use our union or credit union name is a scam.

They are ripping you off.

I got one case of a coworker who is trying to submit a claim, but cannot get any response whatsoever. When you look at the BBS Contact Us web page, it smells "scam" all over it.

  1. No names of officers or salespersons.
  2. No real address.
  3. No email address.
  4. The hard-to-find phone number leads you to countless prompts until you either give up or are disconnected.

I hope to find out what kind of kickbacks Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) officials get by signing you up. I know for a fact that BBS Solutions is owned by United States President Joe Biden's brother. You can read more about his brother James in these two articles by ProPublica and The Washington Post

When International President John Costa unilaterally put our support behind President Joe Biden around 2019, the ATU suddenly started helping BBS Solutions sell their "products."

Whether you like President Biden or not, our union is not a cool business venture for officials and their politician friends. Union officials are supposed to help members take what we need for dignified lives from our greedy employer. Not sell members' information to scam artists and/or get a cut for it.

BBS Solutions is tied in to a shady history
Instead of paying shady salesmen your hard-earned wages, try this:

1. Save up your own cash emergency fund.

2. Organize with coworkers to FIGHT for 33% raises, free healthcare and safe working conditions. If the union officials won't help you, form an organization of coworkers—like the Chicago Transit Justice Coalition—to make them help you. Eventually, you can replace them.

I am building up cases of members who have been ripped off by BBS Solutions and other insurance scams that are sold to us in the name of the ATU.

Below is a photo of solicitations from a company that uses our union letterhead to sell us insurance. I recycle these too.

Example of many solicitations that smell like a scam
