Returning To Your Previous Job While In Training

Sometimes you just don't like the new job you transferred to at the CTA. Fortunately, our Collective Bargaining Agreement gives you the right to return to the previous position. Check out Article 12.25:

So let's say you are a new Trackman—but originally came from Bus Servicer—and you want to return to Bus Servicer. I recommend that you immediately write a Report To Manager. Here is an example of what to turn in:

Effective this date on my report. I wish to return to my former position as Bus Servicer. As per Article 12.25 in the Collective Bargaining Agreement, I am allowed this right. Thank you for your assistance.

However, managers can return you to the previous position too! What a strange provision! Regardless, I hope this helps!
