Is Nora Leerhsen Out?

Who will be the next CTA boss?
This guest blog article is by Brother Christopher Campisi, Local 308 Union Steward and Rail Car Repairer

According to the exclusive Crain's Chicago Business, John A. Roberson may to be the Mayor's pick to replace CTA Acting President Nora Leerhsen.

To be nice about it, he is a politically-connected troubleshooter. Or, to be cautious, he seems to be another Chicago pension collector who will turn the CTA upside-down (Elon Musk fashion).

You may be familiar with this type already: Chicago Machine Gear.

He carries a heavy resume: Sewer Department, Chicago Aviation, and Mayor Johnson's COO.

Chicago Machine Gear Politicians generally keep the political patronage of Boss Daley alive and kicking.

CTA workers will not be at the table and will be expected to fall in line with all the civil servants as the Machine derails the CTA—and then sells the mess for parts.

I forecast him to be a cross between Forest Claypool and Dorvel Carter. The only difference is he has more charisma and a full set of teeth. His priority will likely be keeping the money flowing to all of the Quantum Crossing-style Chicago style insiders.

See the Block Club Chicago report to learn more about Mr. Roberson's possible promotion.
