Class Action Grievance: Proper Truck Shop Tools

For the past few years as a Truck Shop-qualified Repairer, I have grown incredibly frustrated with the lack of proper tools for replacing large rail car components. This includes things like wheel assemblies, motors, track brakes and drawbars. 

Many of my coworkers express the same frustration. Not having these tools forces us to buy our own with our own money, borrow from others or roll the dice to see if we can find them laying around the shops. This results in delays, injuries and lost-wages.

I made a flash protest about this issue at Howard Shop. My son took some excerpts from it to make a music video out of it.  

Below is the scan of a grievance about this problem that will be sent on August 11, 2025 to our union vice presidents. I suspect they will either sit on it or try to get it rejected. However, that is just par for the course in our work to get what we deserve. It will also add to the pile of unfair labor practices that we can use if I am elected president.
