2027 Contract Proposal Meeting Schedule

Last week, the Local 308 president posted a flier about Contract Proposal meetings on Facebook. I have copied and uploaded here so those not on Facebook will have access (if I win president next year, members will not need to be on Facebook to access information).

Frankly, these meetings rarely result in any success. Often we end up with arguments against what we want. Additionally, we end up with stuff we never even asked for (such as a secret waiver for our Paid Sick Leave)! 

Regardless, the chances of getting something you want are slightly increased. For example, when I showed up and mentioned family health insurance coverage was needed for Flagmen a few years ago, I got not resistance from the presidents. We had it in the next Contract.

So please participate if you are able. 

Here is how I will handle this if I win president:

• These meetings should be streamed online so all can participate. 
• An online survey like this one I made for my campaign should also be provided. 
• Because we bargain as Local 241 and Local 308, it always be a joint Local 241/308 meeting for each craft.
