Illegally Kicked Out While Representing Union Member!

CTA mismanagers have been saying and doing illegal things for too long!

For the first time in my adventures as an elected union representative, I was kicked out of a punishment meeting (disciplinary hearing).

An Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) charge will be filed as of February 9th. I have included a redacted version below.

I notified our union president about the incident while I stood outside the manager's office. Of course, I received no response.

Our president has proven time after time that I will never receive support or help when it comes to fighting the CTA mismanagers (that is why I am running for president of Local 308).

The mismanager is a notoriously wretched individual who has been empowered by the worst of the CTA's mismanager union-busting terror regime. He also used be a union representative.

Hilariously, he has told members that I only won his spot because he became a manager. According to him, had he not crossed over, I would have never won. He also discourages members from contacting me and often tells them "he doesn't know anything" and that "he doesn't know how to do his job."

Through threats of punishment, retaliation and mockery of concerned members, this mismanager has wreaked havoc for far too long. Fortunately, for us, coworkers are starting to speak up.

So this latest Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) charge is actually one of many based in the same work location. Ironically, just last month, this same mismanager interfered with a member's invocation of his Weingarten Rights.

To add insult to injury, he confronted the member about a subsequent ULP charge (included in my ULP charge below).

I will post updates as they happen.
