Don't Play HVAC Pre-Season Mid-Season Games

Follow the bulletin and grieve any speedup!
Safety is the number one priority for us ATU bargained for employees. On the rail vehicle maintenance department, there are attitudes pushed by mismanagers that have nothing to do with safety.

One specific example are the Pre- and Mid-Season HVAC maintenance assignments.

According to Page 19 of Bulletin 9-115J, it takes FOUR hours to complete one car. We are the Carmen for the Chicago Transit Authority. They call us Repairers. Our lives, the safety of riders and train crews and our craft are more important than mismanagement's wishes.

What makes it even more important to comply with this bulletin is that the Quality Control inspectors have been hitting us with points for dirty condensers. Don’t rush!

Contact me at 779-456-6460 if you are unable to obtain P-115J from a manager or instructor.

Follow the bulletin. If the assign you two units (a deuce), then that is SIXTEEN HOURS. But don't argue and fuss about it. File a grievance and let me know so I can log it in my tracker. Cite the bulletin. Keep it simple. If you need help, feel free to reach out.
