Back To Kimball

I returned to Kimball Shop for the first time since my illegal expulsion by the CTA mismanagement. 

No police were called today. No harassment from mismanagers today. 

 

I was so happy to defend my coworkers without being terrorized that I made a little speech about our terrible working conditions (see video below).

Good job CTA management. I see you are reining in your outlaw mismanagers.

However, I am going through with Corrective Action regarding the ULP charge anyway. Ironically, I received a questionnaire from the ILRB regarding those charges this morning as I was on my way to Kimball. 

I am going to teach you how to respect the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 308 and its representatives—no matter how much you may dislike some of us.

It’s not going to be like it was in the old days. I ain’t your partner. I ain’t your messenger. I work for the members. 

There is a new kind of union rep at the Rail Shops. A new kind. But an old kind too. The way it used to be. The way it needs to be.
