Today, me and the other ATU Local 308 Officers received this group text message from our illustrious president, Sister Pennie McCoach:

    Welcome to Flight #2025.

We are prepared to take off into the New Year. Please make sure your attitude and blessings are secured and locked in an upright position.

All self-destructive devices should be turned off at this time.

All negativity, hurt, and discouragement should be put away.

Should we lose altitude under pressure during the flight, reach up and pull
down a prayer.

Prayers will automatically be activated by faith. Once your faith is activated you can assist other passengers.

There will be no baggage allowed on this flight.

The Captain (God) has cleared
us for takeoff.

       Destination...greatness.

Amidst all the "Amen" and backpatting from my fellow officers, I couldn't help but crash their party:

I pray that God makes the CTA mismanagers suffer from all the hell they pour on the members and that we rise up like a real union to take back everything they steal from us. Amen.

Suffice it to say, they were not happy with my prayer.
