The Public Sector Union Carnage Continues

Hill and Blackburn's Union Busting Law

Straight outta Utah: Senator Mike’s colleagues essentially banned public sector unions there last month.

Now their senator has introduced a law to ban ALL unions in federal government.

Unlike the tyrant Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner who helped give birth to the Janus Law—which he hoped would kill public sector unions through “freedom” to not pay dues, Senator Mike just made unions ILLEGAL.

I didn’t believe it until I read the Bill for myself:

For those of you who think Senator Mike is justified so that we can be “safe” from government “waste” and “corruption,” don’t think for a minute that all those jobs will disappear permanently.

As soon as the “merit” and “DEI” firings are complete, his and Senator Blackburn’s corporate benefactors will move in and profit from the carnage.

Yeah, that’s how they operate. Governor Rauner did that in Illinois with tax collection. Maybe we “saved” money on killing good-paying jobs in the short-term. But we killed a generation of middle class while enriching a cutthroat corporation that keeps its bare-minimum workforce struggling.

These wait-and-see NTEU, NFEE, AFGE, business unionist misleaders who depend on judges and demoncrats to save the members are being completely irresponsible. The minority of elected union leaders who pray that orange flim-flam man will save us are equally irresponsible.

They should be organizing the members—and phoning other union representatives— for mass collective action. This deluded habit of begging judges and politicians is self-destructive!

Now is not the time to get behind weak union leadership. Now is the time for members to demand they back us in collective action.
