Update About Assault Against Customer Assistant

On February 19, 2026, our Local 308 union president made the following post on various Facebook Groups:

Local 308 Brothers and Sisters, I am pleased to provide an update on the case involving Brother McGee, a customer service representative, who was pushed off the platform onto the tracks on the blue line. The individual responsible has been found guilty and received a 3-year sentence. I would like to thank the Local 308 Safety Committee for their ongoing support of Brother McGee throughout this process.

CBS Chicago made this report on August 21, 2025, after the assault happened. This is the same "safety committee" that wouldn't reach out to a Second Chancer that was about to be evicted because I was requesting help. They only did it after I started a successful fundraiser to keep her housed. Hopefully, the "safety committee" has improved since then.
