No More Micromanaging at Local 308!

Our president continues to replace me and Assistant Executive Board Member Lamont with her favorite steward. 

Members are constantly complaining about her pro-mismanagement attitude. She once told a member who needed representation: Choose her or me. How silly. A member can—and should—have two union people present if they are present!

None of this is going to help her campaign for reelection. Hopefully this so-called steward won’t be my replacement for Executive Board member in the Shops! 

When I am president, the Stewards will be evaluated by members. Those with the lowest ratings will not have the privilege of release time from their CTA job (those with the highest will rise in prominence for their service). 

When I am president, I want to cultivate servants of the members. 

Not servants for me, like some of these FAKE stewards. Not rubber stamp sycophants like some of these Executioner Board members I deal with every month!

Executive Board Members will manage scheduling for the stewards and I will enforce the bylaws by providing them the days prescribed to run their departments. 

I will make it my business to empower them with what they need—as long as the membership approves it. 

But they will also be rated. If they fail with low ratings, they will be swiftly impeached and a new election will be held. 

I WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY REPRESENTATION OR DEFENSE OF CTA MISMANAGEMENT BY PEOPLE ON UNION PAYROLL!!!

The micro-management of Local 308 by our current presidents is an utter failure. This emulation of CTA mismanagement’s F-up ways—Fear, Flattery and Favoritism—within Local 308 is at the heart of our problems. 

It is hurting the entire organization!

On November 17th, give me a chance to clean up this mess. It’s time to put control of the union in your hands!
