Class Action Grievance: Stop Kicking Out Union Reps
As of this writing, I have numerous Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) charges on them. So far, the one that has been decided, was in favor of me (L-CA-24-035). With the exception of some rogue mismanagers who have outstanding charges as of this writing, I am encountering less problems.
Looking deeply into the Collective Bargaining Agreement ("Contract"), I found some excellent weapons that will attack the root of this problem. I immediately filed two Class Action Grievances about it.
The first one enforces a dedicated "Discipline Day" from a part of the Contract that is totally ignored (Sole Agreement No. 20). The second one re-establishes the authority of the union president's approval for a union representative's presence in a CTA facility. With both of these enforced, it will be almost impossible for the mismangers to kick me out.
