CTA Mismanagement Wants My Email and Text Messages

Change My Mind!

UPDATE (10/1/2025): My Unfair Labor Practice charge about this criminal act is now filed with the Illinois Labor Relations Board under L-CA-26-008.

UPDATE (9/25/2025): My grievance has been submitted and assigned a Local 308 Grievance Number: 0925-31.

As disclosed on Sept. 19th, it seems the CTA mismanagement has had enough with my constant FOIA requests, hazard complaints and grievances. Even other CTA workers in different unions are getting my help.

So, to shut me down, they are demanding to see TWO YEARS worth of my email and text communications with a coworker and fellow union activist who has filed an Unfair Labor Practice charge against them on something that has nothing to do with me.

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that they need to see so much information—except that they want to build an archive of information and persons that are a threat to their criminal operation at 567 W. Lake Street.

They want to make members afraid to file ULP charges and communicate with a trusted union representative. They want to make union representatives worried about helping members fight for better wages and working conditions. Not only are they violating the Illinois Labor Relations Act, but they are in violation of the Illinois Statutes Chapter 735, regarding union officials and members!

Sounds like a union busting move? Sounds like coercion? Sounds like interference with a union?

Well, you should know by now that our union is already busted.

However, this time, there is a lone union representative who is saying enough-is-enough. There is a representative is unafraid to use all means at his disposal to fight back.

That's me.
